Dear Mr. Tsuji,
The Hawaii County Committee on Finance will hold a meeting on June 17, 1997, at
10:30 a.m. At that time, we would like to provide committee members an opportunity
to hear information in regard to alleged improprieties in a recent Fire Department
placement exam. Therefore, we would like to request your attendance and those
involved in the administering of the fire exam in question.
The Committee on Finance is not investigating this matter, nonetheless, we are
interested in working together with your department, the Civil Service Department and
the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association, to preclude this from happening once more.

SUBJ: HSAC Executive Committee Meeting - May 23, 1997
At its meeting of June 18, 1997, the Hawaii County Council
approved the recommended slate of HSAC officers for the Fiscal
Year 1997-1998, and that HSAC consider taking a position of
urging the Legislature to veto Senate Bill 37, SD1, HD2, CD1.
