ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 8 OF THE HA6+lAII COUNTY
CODE BY DELETING SECTION 24-194(a)(1) RELATING TO THE
PROHIBITION OF FOR SALE SIGNS ON PARKED VEHICLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section ~4-194 of the Hawaii County Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) No person shall park a vehicle upon any
highway:
[(1) There such vehicle displays a for sale
sign; or
(2)] (1) For the purpose of washing,
polishing, greasing, or repairing such vehicle ezcept for
repairs necessitated by an emergency.
SECTION 2. Material to be deleted is bracketed. New
material is underscored.
SECTION 3. Should any portion of the ordinance be
declared invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other
parts of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval.
