OI~,DINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE 7, OF THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983, RELATING TO THE VETERANS ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COi':dCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 'S, Article 7, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983, relating to thr: Veterans Advisory Committee, is
amended to read as follows:
'Article '7. Veterans Advisory Committee.
Section 15-61. Organization. There shall be a
committee composed of fifteen members, who shall be
appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. Any
.member of the committee may be removed by the Mayor with
the approval of the Council.
Section 15-62. Membership and tenure.
(a) The members shall serve staggered terms of five
years.
(b) The membership of the committee shall include
one represent~jtive each from the American Legion, Big
Island Nationa~ Guard Retirees Association, Big Island
Retired Military Association, Club 100, Disabled American
Veterans, Fleet Reserve Association, 442nd Veterans
Association, Hilo Interpreters Club[, Special Forces
Association], Hawaii Island Women Veterans Association
Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Veterans of the Vietnam
War.
