to be reviewed and recommendation be made on by the
Planning Director and the Planning Commission.

Comm. 867.05: From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated April 25, 1996,
transmitting a letter and enclosures from Planning
Commission Chairman Kevin M. Balog regarding Bill 185.
Informs the Commission voted to forward an unfavorable
recommendation to the Council based on concern for
people who bought into residential development in the
area and do not want agricultural-type of activities in
their neighborhood and that the County would not
benefit from the downzoning and loss of tax base
revenue.

Commission Chairman Kevin M. Balog.
Comm. 1100.13:From Jefri A. Metheany, D.C., dated May 16, 1996,
encouraging initiation of a law that allows the raising
and selling of poultry in agriculturally-zoned land of
ten-plus acres only and not in lesser acreage,
especially in residential, for reasons, as listed.
Comm. 1100.14:From John A. Broussard, dated May 11, 1996, regarding
the Zoning Revision Consultant's comment that virtually
all of the discussion and public testimony so far,
regarding the Zoning Code revision, has been in
connection with environmental impact statements and bed
and breakfast. States the statement is not true and
submits copies of testimony by others at Planning
Commission meetings.
