STATE FOR A QUARRY ACROSS FROM HONOKO A HARBOR
Copy of letter to Governor Ben Cayetano and
Mayor Stephen Yamashiro, from Glen N. Felton,
President, Kawaihae Concrete, dated October 2, 1995,
regarding the above matter. States the granting of
this special privilege violates his Hawaiian Homelands
right to fair and equal treatment under the 14th
amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Comm. 749.02: From Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, dated
November 30, 1995, submitting findings regarding the
quarry on TMK 7-4-8:13. States the quarry is within
the Conservation District and within the approval of a
Conservation District use permit by the Hoard of Land
and Natural Resources and that the County has no land
use jurisdiction in Conservation Districts.
