(Res. 135) COUNCIL'S RULES OF PROCEDURE FOR COMMITTEE REPORTS FOR
THE COMMITTEE ON PLANNING
From Councilmember Keola Childs, dated June S, 1995,
transmitting a resolution which proposes to amend the
requirements for reports from the Committee on Planning
which contain favorable recommendations for change of
zone bills. States the resolution was prepared as a
result of the Committee's vote on April 6, 1995 to
develop impact enaction guidelines for change of zone
bills to achieve the purpose, as stated.
Comm. 498: PLANNED IMPROVEMENTS TO REGIONAL DRINKING WATER WELL
AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS
From Councilmember Keola Childs, dated June 12, 1995,
requesting review of the state of the island's various
regional drinking water systems, particularly as to
plans for major replacements, upgrades, line
extensions/additions and the addition of new wells.

Comm. 520.01: From Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, dated
June 23, 1995, informing that at the Planning
Commission's public hearing on Albert and Lorna Jeyte's
Change of Zone application held on June 7, 1995, there
was a discussion on the paving of shoulders on the Old
Volcano Road fronting the subject property. States
that although a condition (Condition F) for paving was
included by the Planning Director and subsequently
revised, the Planning Commission ultimately deleted
it. Attaches letters from the Department of Public
Works regarding Condition F, which the Chief Engineer
expressed strong opposition to the deletion of this
condition.
