RESOLUTIONS Res. 544-92: Resjolves that all County-processed State Land Us el Agriculture to Urban amendments and all Cou~~nty rezoning requests within the State Land Use'~Agriculture District shall be evaluated usi~~ng the method and guidelines established by the'I 1986 LESA Report, which may be modified fro~tt time to time by the County Council through itslpolicy formulation; that the County Council adopt the 1986 State of Hawaii Land Evaluation andlSite Assessment (LESA) Commission Report as a g'~uideline to determine its land use policies for', agricultural lands; that lands deemed by thelCounty Council to be "important agn,icultural lands" where it can be demonstrated that there is no change in the eco omic or social conditions surrounding the lan s, may be considered for no less than a minimum three-acre agriculture zoning; that lan s not deemed by the County Council to be "im ortant agricultural lands" and that the req ested rezoning or State Land Use Boundary ame dment will provide greater benefits to the gen~ral public than retaining the parcel(s)' exi ting zoning, may be considered for County Residential-Agriculture (RA) zoning with lots ranging between one acre to three acres or Statte Land Use Urban and appropriate County Order of Business Page 3 January 12, 1994 zoning, provided that the rezoning and/or land use, request is consistent with the County Ger~~eral Plan; and that the Planning Director tak'~e measures to inform the public and other applropriate entities of this method of change, update its rules and applications, as may be ne ded, and begin processing requests using thus system within 60 days of adoption of this reslolution.
