Comm. 1184: RESOLUTION URGING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HAWAII (Res. 251) AVIATION TRAINING CENTER AT HILO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT From Councilmember James Y. Arakaki, dated July 7, 1994, submitting a resolution supporting Senate Resolution 188 which urges the development of a Hawaii Aviation Training Center (HATC) at Hilo International Airport. Further, urges that the University of Hawaii, State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism and the State PC-42 Paqe 2 July 19, 1994 Comm. 1184: Department of Transportation work to establish (Res. 251) temporary facilities at Hilo International Airport (Cont'd) for the start-up of the HATC before the completion of permanent facilities and that the temporary site be appropriate for the training of airline professionals. Comm. 1082.05: From Phil Auldridge, President, BenchMark Flight Center, transmitting copy of his presentation to the Planning Commission regarding the establishment of an International Flight Training Center in Hilo. Comm. 1185: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 10 (SEDIMENTATION (Bill 284) CONTROL) AND CHAPTER 25 (ZONING CODE) OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY REQUIRING A USE PERMIT FOR THE EXCAVATION OF ANY CINDER CONE HAVING A HEIGHT OF FIFTY (50) FEET OR MORE ABOVE THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE SURROUNDING TERRAIN From Councilmember Keola Childs, dated July 8, 1994, transmitting the above bill.
