RE: Resolution No. 114, Draft 3
In Relation To Hunting Rights
As discussed at the Public Works and Pazks meeting held July 1, 1997, I am circulating a draft 3
of Resolution No. 114. This draft addresses punctuation errors in the first, second and fifth
"WHEREAS" sequences and amends the last "RESOLVED" clause to include the names of
Representative Paul Whalen and Hawaii's Congressional delegation.
Also considered at this meeting was the possibility of further amending this resolution to include
language that would afford protection to pigs in areas such as Kulani. However, after discussing
this with the interested parties, it was decided that this matter would be best addressed in a
separate resolution. I have spoken to Mr. Ron Bachman, DLNR, about introducing a separate
resolution to address these specific azeas and he should be following up on the matter as
appropriate.
