Dear Chairman Safarik and Members:
It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation the reappointment of Dixie Kaetsu as
County of Hawaii Managing Director pursuant to the Charter of the County of Hawaii. This
appointment was effective at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 6, 2004.
Ms. Kaetsu has served as Managing Director for the County of Hawaii since December of
2000. Prior to then, she was the Controller for the County from March 1990 to June 2000,
and served as the Director of Finance from July 2000 to December 2000.
Ms. Kaetsu will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on
December 1, 2008.
