McClure as County of Hawaii Director of Public Works pursuant to the Charter of the County of Hawaii. This appointment was effective at noon on December 6, 2004. Mr. McClure has served as the Director of Public Works from December 2002 to the present. Prior to then, he was employed by the Department of Water Supply of the County of Hawaii from 1998 to 2002. From 1984 to 1990, he served as the Deputy Chief Engineer for the County of Hawaii, and from 1990 to 1993 was the County's Chief Engineer. He has also worked for the State Department of Transportation. His resume is attached for your information. Mr. McClure will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 1, 2008. Thank you for your favorable consideration of this appointment.
