Dear Chairman Safarik and Members:
It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation the reappointment of Clayton K. Yugawa as
County of Hawaii Director of Data Systems pursuant to the Charter of the County of Hawaii.
This reappointment was effective at noon on December 6, 2004.
Since June of 2002, Mr. Yugawa has served as the County's Director of Data Systems. Prior
to then, he was employed by Verizon Hawaii Inc., formerly GTE Hawaiian Tel. He had
extensive experience with telecommunication networks and computers during his tenure at
Verizon/GTE, as well as management responsibility. His resume is attached for your
information.
Mr. Yugawa will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on
December 1, 2008.
