OFFICE ®F IVIANAGE~IIENT
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Alliance for Community Health has donated $800 to the Office of Management;
and
WHEREAS, this donation will be used to offset the cost of the 2004 Hawaii Island Meth Summit III,
held on October 22, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Management recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED IBY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $800.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent Ms. Martha Yamada, President and
Ms. Jan Yokoyama, fireasurer, Hawaii Alliance for Community Health, P.O. Box 10508, Hilo, Hawaii 96721
acknowledging their generous donation.
