RESOLUTION AdJTHORIZIN(3 THE ACCEPTANCE O~ A 6~90NE1'ARY DONATION $1,000 TO
T~6E ~i~OWAI`I COUNTY POL9CE CEP,ARTR~ENT
WHEREAS, Wal-Mart Hilo, as part of their community involvement program, has donated $1,000 to the
Hawaii County Police Department; and
WHEREAS, this donation will be used by the Department's Neighborhood Watch Program to ensure
continuous teaching on safety and also educational programs; and
WHEREAS, Article XI II, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVE® ~Y THE COIJIdCII~ OF TF;iIE COUNTY OF RAWA!`I that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $1,000.
~E IT FURTHER RESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Glenn Schneider, Manager,
Wal-Mart Hilo, 325 E. Maka'ala Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
