We request that you replace Bill No. 14 with the enclosed Draft 2 of this same bill.
Originally, Bill No. 14 was to amend the Capital Budget by appropriating an additional
$46,500 to the Lifeguard Towers/Stands Upgrade project. However, the amount of
discretionary fund monies which former District 2 Councilmember Mike Tulang had assigned
to this project was $36,500.
Draft 2 of Bill No. 14 changes the appropriation from $46,500 to $36,500 for the Lifeguard
Towers/Stands Upgrade project.

A. REQUEST:
To amend bill increasing appropriation for 110.599.5599.54.115 Lifeguard
Towers/Stands Upgrade. Due to an oversight, the bill should be corrected to
increase appropriation from $100,000 to $136,500.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Former District 2 Councilmember Mike Tulang assigned $36,500 in discretionary
fund monies to assist in implementing the upgrade and replacement of lifeguard
towers/stands at County of Hawaii beach parks. The amount on the original
request was erroneously reported as $46,500.
