from Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 7, 2004, requesting the Council's favorable
recommendation of the above reappointment. Ms. Testa has served as the Director of
Research and Development since February 2001. Prior to then, she was employed by
the Hawaii County Oflicc of Aging from 1980 to the present. In addition to her
employment with the ('ounty, Ms. Testa has worked as a facilitator and conducted
strategic planning sessions Ibr numerous community and government organizations.
If confirmed, Ms. 'Testa will serve a teen co-terminus with the Mayor, which will end
on December 1, 2008.

From Mayor I-tarry Kim, dated November 16, 2004, informing he has appointed
Ms. Charmaine I'. Ka-ipo of Council District 5 to the Hawaii County Committee on
the Status of Women. Ms. Ka-ipo is currently the Manager of Employment Training
Services for ~'he Arc of I lilo. Not affiliated with any political party, she will serve a
term to expire on Uccember 31, 2006, replacing Ms. May Lake, who has resigned.
