Subject Testimony relating to Legislative auditor
Dear Chair Sefarik and Members of the Council:
I support David Frankel for the position of Legislative auditor.
As you well know the position requires comprehensive skills that, combined, help maintain the Council's
focus on the big picture while attending to the myriad of details necessary to accomplish that mission.
Mr. Frankel has the talents required to excel at the auditor's many responsibilities. Responsibilities for
which Mr. Frankel is particularly suited. First and foremost, he brings to this position the highest
standards of personal integrity and regard for people's welfare. Mr. Frankel excels in fiscal planning
and budget maintenance. He is a personnel team builder, who will create a positive get-el-done
atmosphere within his office. Whether writing a major opinion, or mining through arcane drudgery for a
minor detail, Mr. Frankel will sustain the dedication and efficiency of the professional that he is.
Having worked with Mr. Frankel as a board member of the Volcano School of Arts and Science for
years, I have always appreciated his ability to direct, focus, and move an agenda forward. His opinions
are well considered, trenchant and invaluable. To do this well one has to be a keen listener, as well as
a team player. Mr. Frankel will prove himself a major asset to the Council by fulfilling the legislative
auditor's job description with keen insights, people skills, and the all to rare ability to accomplish
whatever task is necessary.
Thank you for the opportunely to offer this testimony.
Cordially,
Peter Chariot
