SUBJECT: DRAFT ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 4Q, OF THE HAWA~I'1
COUNTY CODE RELATING TO DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
MANAGEMENT
Forwarded for your review and consideration is a draft ordinance that amends Chapter 2, Article 40.
Currently there is no appeals process in place for decisions made by the Department Director. Approval
of this amendment will allow an avenue for these appeals to be heard by the Environmental Management
Commission.
The Environmental Management Commission, at its November 17, 2004 meeting, unanimously
recommended approval of this ordinance.
