THAN- OI~E FISCAL YEAR FOR ~iIULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR THREE (3) COPIERS FOR THE HA1PIfAl`I

V96HEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charfer requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEI~IaAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years for
three (3) copiers for the Hawaii County Police Department, at the following locations: Public Safety Building
Machine Room, Public Safety Building Records, and Kona Patrol; and
91VFIER~AS, the leases of these three copiers currently in use have expired; and
VNHEREAS, obtaining leases on more technically advanced copiers will increase staff productivity via
faster copying and forms printing and will allow them to keep up with the increased demands placed upon the
department.
NOV04, THEREFORE, 13iE IT RESOL.VE® BY THE COUNCIL OF THIm COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease agreements of three
(3) copiers for the Hawaii County Police Department.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
