This project was started to develop a paperless booking system by providing for the single-entry of demographic criminal history information, for the electronic capture of fingerprints and digitized mug photos, and for the automatic transmission of this information to the State's booking server, from which other systems may retrieve the information. The Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center, a division of the State of Hawaii Attorney General's Office, had procured the computer software and hardware for the Green Box Pilot Project and now wishes to transfer its ownership to the County. The total estimated value of the equipment, based on the purchase price, is $171,000. Enclosed is a resolution accepting the transfer of ownership of State computer equipment, purchased for the Green Box project, to the County of Hawaii.
