As you know, I am unable to be present at today's meeting because i am
recuperating at home from hip surgery. Thank you for allowing me to comment on two
items.
¦ In Comm 18 regazding the reappointment of Patricia G. Engelhazd as Director of
Parks and Recreation, there appears to be a typo in Line 3 regazding the onset of
her appointment. It givts me great pleasure to support the reappointment of
Director Engelhard, who has with limited fundmg, done many irmovative things
to ensure clean and safe parks for ow residents. I often have stopped by the little
riverside park in Ninoole, and am always so proud of how well maintained it is. I
thank the mayor for this appoiutment.
¦ Regazding Comm. 5, request for names for the police fleet impkememation
working group, T would like to strongly support the nomination of Mr. I{ugh
Clark, as proposed by former Council member Chung I have known and respected
Mr. Clark for many years as a n>portcr, and community volunteer and have served
on volunteer boards with him. Thank you for allowing me to comment positively
on his appointment.
