SUB.IECT: Bill 18, Draft 2 DRAFT ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION) RELATING TO REFUSE FEE
SCHEDULE: GREENWASTE TIP FEE
Forwarded for your review and consideration is a draft ordinance relating to the County refuse
fee schedule.
Approval of this amendment will allow for more accuracy in charging for costs incurred by the
Solid Waste Division in providing necessary services to divert organics from our landtills.
Drat 2 modities the start date. The ordinance shalt take effect July 1, 2005 or when County
grccnwaste collection areas are operational, whichever date is later.
The Environmental Management Department will provide notification for charging via
newspaper and signage at all affected sites.
