Dear Planning C®mmittee Chair and Members,
`Thank y®u for taking the time to hear my testirn®ny last night c®ncerning
the proposed category change ®f lands between BCeauhou and BCealakekua Ray
to "~Irnportant ~gric~ltural Land.
I was asked by one ®f the c®uncil members whether I had taken part in the
~0 or So comrrnunity rraeetings and I Bald I had n®t. ~®wever, I w®uld like to
clarify that answer. I am ®ne of six rr~ajor landowners in ehis area. I had not
.asked for the pr®posed change and neither had the other ®vvners, n®r were
we c~nscalted. So it was a surprise t® just recentiy learn of this pr®p®sed
change, 6t was ®bvl®usiy made by s®rr~~ne ®r group that is not familiar with
the property in question.
Once again ~o+e are opp®sed the pr®posed General Plan without arvlendn~aent to
leave- these land at their current usage. 1Ne hope the council takes a little
m®re time toy get the General Plan right the first time.
