Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 5, reports as follows:
Bill No. 5, transmitted by Director of Finance V?illiam Takaba, via Communication No. 25,
dated December 6, 2004, amends Ordinance No. 04-74, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending .Tune 30, 2005. The amendment is as follows:
Prom:
3609.10 Fund Balance from Prior Year Highway $1,828,000
To:
020-301-5301.06 Highway Maintenance Admin Equipment Highway $ 428,000
020-801-5801.34 Transfer to Capital Project Fund Highway $1,400,000
TOTAL $1,828,000
These additional funds will be used as follows:
1. Six Truck-Mounted Boom Mowers 428,000
2. The construction of a new North Hilo/Hamakua Highway 500,000
Maintenance Building
3. The resurfacing of Palani Road and Mamalahoa Highway 900,000
Your Committee did not entertain further discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 5 and
recommends it pass first reading.
