Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 6, reports as follows:
Bill No. 6, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 26, dated
December 6, 2004, amends Ordinance No. 04-75, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 2005, by increasing the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
North Hilo/Hamakua Highway 110-199.5193.06 [$700,000] $1,200,000
Maintenance Building Construction
Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $ 500,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
Additional funds are needed due to the current construction rates and the cost for the environmental
impact statement now brings the estimate to $ ] ,200,000.
Your Committee did not entertain further discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 6 and recommends it
pass first reading.
