Your Committee on knvironmental Management, to which was referred Communication No. 17. reports as

Communication No. 17, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated Dec. 7, 2004, submits for confirmation the
re-appointment of Ms. Barbara Bell as County of Hawaii Director of Environmental Management.
Since 2002, Ms. Bell has served as the Director of Environmental Management for the County. Prior to then,
she was employed as the executive director of Recycle Hawaii, anon-profit educational organization. In
addition, she served as co-chair ofthe Environmental Management Commission with Mr. Riley Smith. and
scived as' Count} Clerk for the County of Hawaii in 1995-1996.
Your Committee on 1nvironmental Management recommends confirmation of Ms. Bell as Director of
k?m ironmental Management to serve a term co-terminus with the Mayor, which will end on Dec. I, 2008.
