Re: Acceptance of Donation
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which
authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property,
and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code, which states
that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the
department of finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, I request the
Council's approval of the following donation:
A monetary donation of $7,000.00 to the Hawaii County Council, to be used towards
the Kona reception which was held on December 21, 2004, by Ms. Virginia Isbell,
P.O. Box 926, Kealakekua, Hawaii 96750.
I ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
