SUBJECT: Resolution to Include a Bill Relating to the Public Service Company
Tax in the 2005 HSAC Legislative Package
Attached For your consideration please find a resolution to include in the 2005 HSAC
Legislative Package proposed legislation (and related documents) relating to the public
service company tax, as submitted by HSAC Secretary artd Honolulu City
Councilmember Romy Cachola.

SUBJECT: Request to Waive Resolution to Relating to the Public Service Company Tax
for Inclusion in the 2005 HSAC Legislative Package
At the request of Chair Gary Safarik, HSAC Vice President, I request that his transmittal dated
January 1 1, 2005 to include proposed legislation in the 2005 HSAC Legislative Package, as further
proposed by Honolulu City Council Resolution No. OS-009, be waived from my Committee on
Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations for consideration by the full Council at its next
scheduled meeting on January 21, 2005.
Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, I
request waiver of this matter to place it on the next Council agenda for review. However, in the
event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the
Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations for placement on its future agenda.
