We are in receipt of the T-Iawaii County Council Committee on Planning's January 20, 2005 agenda
relating to the above-entitled matter.
Due to a conflict in schedule, of which I am ratable to reschedule, I will not be able to attend the
January 20, 2005 hearing on Bills 35S and 356. The Pepeekeo community has actively participated in the
above project. Given the limited time to prepare for the Planning Committee agenda items, we have been
unable to provide sufficient notice to the Pepeekeo community to allow all community members who may b •
interested in attending and participating in these matters. In addition, Mr. Jere Henderson, the principal of
Continental Pacific is off island and will not be able to attend the hearing on such short notice.
This letter will request a deferral of Bills 35S and 356 to the next scheduled Planning Committee
hearing date in February, 2005. In addition, we request that notification of the hearing be provided to us as
early as possible in order to allow us sufficient time to notify the Pepeekeo community and other interested
parties, and to allow the Applicant to coordinate travel to Hawaii. Thank you for your consideration.
