above bill. "I~he State of Hawaii -Hawaii 'Tourism Authority is providing the above
additional funds to the Department of Research and Developments Product
Enrichment Program. Funds will be used to support and improve the tourism product
development initiatives and projects. This brings the total grant appropriation to
$525.000.

From Finance Director William Takaba, dated .Ianuary 20, 2005. transmitting the
above resolution. The County wishes to initiate a single family loan program similar
to the State's Hula Mae Program for the residents of Hawaii County. "Fhe County
intends to work cooperatively with the State to complement the State's housing
programs and initiatives.

PENDING IN COMMITTEE FOR 1{OUSECLEANING PURPOSES
From Finance Chair Virginia Isbell, dated .Ianuary 20, 2005, recommends closing file
on the following items pending in the Finance Committee: Comms. 103, 103.1.
103.2 and 1033 (2001), from Tom Russi and Christine Paul, regarding the hiring of
Wood and Tait as investigators for the Police Commission; and Comm. 198
(Res. 63-03) (2003), regarding removing Condition 5 from the conditions of
Res. 46-O1, which requires the Police Department to work with the State
Departments of Health and the Attorney General to develop a plan where a portion of
the confiscated marijuana can be set aside for medical marijuana use. These items
have been pending for several years or terms and have not resurfaced.
