Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the acceptance of a donation of a custom two-man
lifeguard tower for the Department of Parks and Recreation. This donation, to be utilized
at Kahalu`u Beach Park, is being made by Territorial Builders, Inc., 72-4040 Ke Ana Wai
Street, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740 and has an estimated total value between $12,000
to $15,000.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of a custom two man lifeguard tower at Kahaluu Beach Park.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED)'
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation by Territorial Builders, Inc. This
lifeguard tower will be utilized by County of Hawaii Water Safety Officers on a seven day a week basis to
survey water and protect lives at Kahaluu Beach Park. The value of this lifeguard tower is approximately
$12,000-$15,000.
