WHEREAS, Mr. Clayton Bryant Young has donated four (4) oil paintings to the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, these oil paintings, with an estimated total value of $16,000, will be displayed at the
Aupuni Center; and
Wi~EREs~S, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
9n6FiEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, T~i~REFO9~E, BE iT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TFIE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XII€, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE iT F'URTi~ER E;2ESOLVE® that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Clayton Bryant Young, P.O.
Box 6438, Hilo, Hawaii 96720-8928, acknowledging this donation.
