RESOLUTION AUTHORISING THE PAYII1dIENT OF FUN®S OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF
IlAORE THeAN ONE FISCAL YEAi~ FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR T1N0 (2) COPIERS FOR THE
OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COIVINIUNITY DEV'ELOPIVIENT
VNFIEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year lease agreements for five (5) years for
two (2) copiers for the Office of Housing and Community Development; and
WFIEREAS, the leases of their two copiers currently in use will be expiring in June 2005 and both
machines have exceeded their recommended usage and are constantly being repaired; and
WHEREe4S, obtaining leases on technically advanced copiers, which provide more features and options,
will increase staff productivity and will allow them to keep up with the increased demands placed upon the
offices.
NOW, THEREFORE, l~E IT RESOLVED 13Y TI•iE COUNCIL, OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year lease agreements for two
(2) copiers for the Office of Housing and Community Development.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
