Memorandum
To: Gary Safarik, Chair

Re: Recommendation for Council Appointee to
Police Fleet Implementation Working Group
I would like to recommend Clifford D. Kopp, DDS, as the Council's second
appointment to the Mayor's Police Fleet Implementation Working Group, pursuant
to Resolution 224-04, Draft 3.
Dr. Kopp has resided in Hawaii for the past six years. He is currently in private
dental practice, as a prosthodontist in the Kailua-Kona area. Dr. Kopp is a member
of the Rotary Club of Kona, and serves as Vice-president of West Hawaii Crime
stoppers, Inc. Dr. Kopp has indicated that he is willing to serve on the group, and
is able to carry out its mission.
I believe that Dr. Kopp will be a valuable and contributing member of the Police
Fleet Implementation Working Group. He is committed and dedicated to the
residents of West Hawaii and to the County of Hawaii in general, as evidenced by
his years of community involvement with the Rotary and his tireless efforts with
West Hawaii Crime Stoppers. I respectfully request that you concur with my
recommendation to select Dr. Clifford D. Kopp, as the Council's second appointment
to the Working Group.
