(Gift to the Hilo Medical Center, Hilo, Hawai i)
About the Artist:
Clayton Bryant Young is a former military officer and graduate of
the University of North Texas School of Fine Arts.
His works are in private collections in Texas and Hawai i as well as
galleries on the Big Island. In 2001, Young made the Big Island his
home. His oil paintings are characterized by vibrant color, undulating
abstract forms and varied textural applications.
Young's multi-canvas and textured plexi-glass version of "Pele" was
chosen for exhibition at the Volcanoes National Park, and in 2003, the
Wailoa Art Center in Hilo hosted his one-person show, "One Paradise".
Young's Paintings are available in various reproduction sizes and
editions including signed and numbered, limited edition Gicle'e prints.
