A RF,SOLUTION TRANSFERRING%APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FRO VI "I'HF: DESIGNATED FUND
ACCOUNT AND CE2EDfT1NG SAM}-: TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT
WHERF,AS, the Pahoa Wced and Seed project hos identified the lack ofaRer school, mentoring and youth leadership devek,pn,cnt
activities and programs for youth as a serious unmet need;
WHEREAS, Prevention/Intervention,~Freatrnent sh~atcgy ;#I in the Weed and Secd Plan charges the Youth Devclopmcn~ Committee with
establishing additional sites in the Pahoa ConuT~unity for utilisation by youth;
WHEREAS, Prevention/Intervention-l~reatmcnt strategy #2 in the Wced and Seed Plan charges the Youth Development C ommiuee with
increasing the leadership abilities of the youth in the Pahoa community;
WHEREAS, Prevention/ Intervention/Treatment (foal # 6 aims [o enhance leadership capabilities and opportunities ti>r youth in Pahoa
through active participation in programs and projects within the area;
WHEREAS the Pahoa Weed and Secd Youth Development Committee has established a Youth Council to support youth activities and
has estimated that a series of youth concerts, youth night programs and a talent show could utilize a star[ up budget of $5,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'1 that the following amount be and is
hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below

BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and instructed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make the necessary u-ansfers in accordance w ith the
terms of this resolution.
