My colleague, Dr. Clifford Kopp, has been proposed for
membership on the Hawaii County Police Fleet Implementation
cc,mmittee, and with this letter 1 wish to express my Support of
h'rn. The purpose of this left-er is to mainly aid you it
developing an und[>rstanding of his integrity anr, commitment t_c
the common good.
7 have known Dr. Kopp since 1978 when he became as student in
our [loct.oral Nrogram. At that time I was Chairman oP the
Depart-ment- of F'zosthodantics and Reconstrucaiv<~ Surgery. Ur.
Knpp's i)ul-standing performance in the Doctoral Program led t.o
his ,acceptance into the POgt. Doctoral Specialty Program of which
l was the pi rector. Upon completion k,e was elected to the
E'aculty and invited to join t_he private prar.tice of orie of his
faculty members. Dr. Kopp remained a faculty member for ten
years resigning as Clinical Associate Professor on his move to
Hawaii t.o bctt_er mee~ family obligations.
During his c:areFr•, continuing to the present, I have been his
proud mentor. I admire his keen intellect coupled to integrity
and commitment_ to the welfare of people in every waist of 1ifF.
Quite candidly I do not know t_he issues but I do Know that what
ever lh~,y may he he wil'_ apply due diligence.
