RESOLUTION NO. 59 05
RESOLUTION OF REALLOCATING AND CHANGING THE TIME ELEMENT OF A
RECREATION TECHNICIAN II (3/4T) POSITION TO RECREATION TECHNICIAN III
FULL TIME
WHEREAS, the Kailua Park Complex is a highly utilized for football, baseball, soccer, softball,
basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, and other events; and
WHEREAS, there is no weekend coverage at the district's only County gymnasium; and
WHEREAS, Position no. 3412, Recreation Technician II 3/4T, SR-11, is located at Kailua Park
Complex;
WHEREAS, by reallocating and increasing the time element of this position to a full time
Recreation Technician III, it will permit this person to work unsupervised during the evenings and on
weekends while providing additional gym hours and programs to the community; and
WHEREAS, broader age groups and diverse activities can be planned and carried out with a
full time work schedule; and
WHEREAS, that there are sufficient funds available in the Recreation Division Regular
Salaries and Wages account (010-500-5507.01-011).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that Position No. 3412, Recreation Technician II 3/4T, SR-11, be changed to Recreation
Technician III, SR-13, Full Time.
