Re: Operating Budget
At the February 28, 2005 County Council Committee on Finance, Bill 40, which
appropriated the General Fund's Fund Balance, was amended to Draft 3 to include
$50,000 for a Waikoloa Village Curbside Recycling Program Study.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this
$50,000 to the Solid Waste Fund's Recycling Program (Waikoloa Village Curbside
Recycling Program Study) account.

A. REQUEST:
To amend the FY 04-05 Operating Budget Ordinance No. 04-74, to increase the Solid Waste Fund as
follows:
Revenues: $50,000 085.3609.11 Transfer from General Fund
Expenses: $50,000 085.601.5604.21 Recycling Program - Waikoioa Village Curbside Study
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
At the February 28, 2005, County Council Committee on Finance, Bill 40 was amended to include $50,000
for a Waikoloa Village Curbside Recycling Program Study. We are requesting these funds be transferred
from the General Fund, Account No. 085.3609.11, Solid Waste Fund, to Account 086.601.5604.21, Solid
Waste Fund.
