Helfrich (Council District 3), a 35-year resident of Hawai `i, currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for the Economic Development Alliance of Hawaii. A member of the Democratic parry, ifconfarmed she will serve a term to expire on Decemher 31, 2007, replacing Mr. Leonard Tanaka, who has resigned. Mr. Riley W. Smidh (Council District 9), a 50-year resident of Hawaii, is currently with Parker Ranch.
