From Finance Director William Takaba, dated January 31, 2005, submitting the above
resolution. The Department of Water Supply no longer requires the use of the utility
easement existing on Tax Map Keys: (3)1-8-005:018, (3)1-8-005:125 and
(3)1-8-005:145, due to the relocation of the pipes that services the system.

Comm. 157: AN ORDINANCE AMENDWG CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUN"TY
(Bill 54) CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (starts a
new 90-day period for four temporary loadine zones along Ali`i Drive)
From Public Works Director Bruce C. McClure, P.E., dated March 3, 2005,
transmitting the above bill. The Department of Public Works authorized four (4)
temporary loading zones along Ali`i Drive on December 21.2004 to address the lack
of loading zones within Kailua Village. These were done under the 90-day authority
of the Hawaii County Code. Section 24-1 1, and this authority ends on March 18,
2005. The loading zones were monitored and were favorably accepted by the Kailua
Village Merchants Association and six delivery services. Field changes arc being
made to add permanent "No Parking" signs and will be starting a new 90-day period,
which will end on June 15, 2005.
