Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Malcolm R. Saxby
of Puna to the Hawaii County water Commission. Mr. Saxby will
be replacing Debra A. Makaweo of Puna who resigned as she has
moved to New Zealand.
Mr. Saxby is a 44-year resident of Hawaii and since 1977, has
been the owner/manager of the Puna Certified Nursery. He is a
member of the State Agri-Business Development Corporation, the
Hawaii Export Nursery Association and the Keaau Maintenance
Association. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
If approved, Mr. Saxby will serve the balance of the unexpired
term which will end on December 31, 1997. Should the Council
need further information regarding this submission, you may
