Re: Bill No. 39, Draft 2
We request that you replace Bill No. 39 with the enclosed Draft 2 of this same bill.
Bill No. 39 amends a previous bond ordinance (Ordinance 99-41 adopted on April 12,
1999, as amended by Ordinance 00-56 adopted on May 17, 2000 and as amended by
Ordinance 04-61 adopted on May 27, 2004) and allows the use of remaining bond funds
for any appropriated projects.
At the County Council's Committee on Finance meeting held on February 28, 2005, there
was a discussion regarding the clarity of Bill No. 39's proposed amendments to the
previous bond ordinance. With the assistance of Bond Counsel, we have reviewed and
rewritten portions of the amendments for clarification only and these are reflected in the
enclosed Draft 2 of Bill No. 39.
