Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Kesolution No. 46-05, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 46-05, transmitted by Director of Finance William "fakaba, via Communication
No. 104, dated February 7, 2005, authorizes the payment of funds for amulti-year lease of two
copiers.
The office of housing and community development wishes to enter into afive-year lease
agreement for two copiers. The leases of their two copiers currently in use will be expiring in
June 2005. Both machines have exceeded their recommended uses and are constantly being
repaired. Funds would be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated costs.
Pursuant to Section 10-1 1, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 46-OS
and recommends its adoption.
