The mayor's budget currently
submitted to Council currently does not include any funding for land purchase and
protection; money needs to be allocated in this year's county budget.
A land protection fund should be reconsidered by the Council and established this
year. We strongly urge your support for the inclusion of land protection funding in the
FY 2005-2006 capital budget and reconsideration of and passage of last year's Bill 270.
Thank you,
Myra S. Ikeda,
Vice President
Hawaii Forest Industry Association
Comm. No. ~Zy ~d
Ref. To:~_~
Ref. Dote ^(~A,R 1 4 90[]ri
