RE: Request for Orchard Desi¢nation for TMK (3) 7-9-12:009
Dear Mr. Safarik:
Now that the County Council has successfully passed the General Plan, please
accept this request for an amendment to same for the above referenced property to
change the Land Use designation back to Orchard. As you may recall, we had
submitted this request prior to the approval of the General Plan but we chose not to
pursue the matter at that time so as not to interfere with the passage of the General
Plaa.
The property elevation does not exceed the traditional 700 foot elevation that was
the previous guideline as the minimum elevation for the "coffee belt " Additionally,
the contiguous properties on three sides of the subject property have already been
removed from the `Important Agriculture' designation due to the rocky soil
conditions and reduced rainfall associated with this lower elevation.
