Subject: Legacy Land Act Bill

Aloha, I strongly support the Legacy Land Act, a bill that provides steady, dedicated funding for the
permanent protection of important coastal and other lands around our state including Honuapo in
Ka'u. I honestly feel that Hawaii needs to take this step to protect the lands that serve as the basis of
our economy and excellent quality of Iife.As continued development often blocks access to our
shorelines, less and less land and unencumbered coastal access is being left for our children to
explore and enjoy. I most definitely feel that it should be part of our legacy to maintain our
open coastlines and scenic views for all future generations. Since, the Legacy Lands Act provides
permanent funding to protect the best that Hawaii has to offer, I urge you from the bottom of my
heart to please pass this critical Act.
