RE: Nomination for an Alternate Member to the Hawaii State Association of
Counties (HSAC) Special Committee on Solid Waste Management
A nomination for an alternate member to the Hawai `i State Association of Counties
(HSAC) Special Committee on Solid Waste Management Committee is needed due to a vacancy
created with the departure of Joe Reynolds. I would like this matter to be considered by the
Council at its next meeting on April 6, 2005.
[ believe Angel Pilago would be a willing and able alternate member of this Committee.

RE: Request to Waive Consideration of Nomination for an Alternate Member to the Hawaii State
Association of Counties (HSAC) Special Committee on Solid Waste Management to the Full
Council
Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, I request
your support for waiver of this matter from my Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental
Relations for consideration and approval by the full Council at its next scheduled meeting on April 6, 2005.
Action requested: Nomination of Council Member K. Angel Pilago as an Alternate Member to the
HSAC Special Committee on Solid Waste Management to the Full Council.
It is advantageous that approval is granted for this matter to be placed onto the next Council agenda for
review. I Iowever, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be
referred to the Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations for placement on its future
agenda.
