Subject: Draft 2 Amendments to Chapter 5, Article 1, Building Code
Enclosed is a Draft 2 bill for an ordinance to amend Chapter 5, Article 1, in its entirety, of the
Hawaii County Code, regarding Building.
Subsequent to our submittal dated March 21, 2004, we found several errors:
1. Amendment 5-I .0.126 was found to be incomplete (figures and maps were missing). A
correct 5-1.0.126 Near-Source Factor Amendment is provided.
2. Amendment 5-1.0.127 was found to be very difficult to read primarily due to subscripts
and equations, and so we edited for improved legibility.
We are requesting to replace Chapter 5, Article 1, in its entirety with the amendments in this
Draft 2 bill.
