RESOLUTION A.UTHORIZIN(3 THE PAYRdIENT OF FUN®S OF ~ LATER FISCAL YEAR ANO OF
MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR ~ COPIER FOR THE
HAWAII COUNTY POLICE OEPARTI~IENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for five (5) years for
one (1) copier for the Hawaii County Police Department's Area I Operations Section; and
WHEREAS, their current copier is constantly being repaired which causes many non-operational periods;
and
WHEREAS, acquisition of a copier with current copier technology will allow the staff to increase their
productivity and allow them to keep up with the increasing demands.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement of a
copier for the Hawaii County Police Department.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
